Putting themselves into the legacy of The Dead Boys, Johnny Thunders and The Dictators, these veterans from Lille are the proof’s in the cold blood – two of its members did die of accidental casualties – that decadent punk rock’n’roll can still rise up like a phoenix ! The Ashtones – a word game around the name of The Stooges’ siblings, turned in a rhythm section during the « Raw Power » era, thus summing up the spirit of the band in their sole name – have now released their seventh LP on Beast records and it is their best, if not quintessential album!
